No, you don't. Just make the correct DNS settings so the domain points to the correct ip. No IIS, No Cloudflare, No Hide-IP-magic-woowoo, just DNS. Nothing else.

I made a little image to show the topology of a typical silkroad server

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

While other configurations exist, I believe this is the most common one.

The player visits the website by typing [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] into the URL bar. The browser will ask the DNS Server if he knows what [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] is. The DNS Server will respond with the entry for [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], which is IP C. Since we're using Cloudflare, this is an IP from Cloudflare that can only be used for Web. If you put [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] into your Media.pk2, it wont work.

Most commonly, there is some kind of DDOS Shield. It might be only for the gameserver, or even connected with the website. Doesnt matter. The DDOS Shield, if external, will have its own IP. Therefore you have to make another sub domain. I named it game.yoursro.server. This domain gets IP B, the IP of the shield. You put game.yoursro.server into the Media.pk2 and it'll work.

Very good explanation thank you very much friend, @[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], but I have a question, I have to buy a service apart (DDOS Shield)

(example) i buy my domain in godaddy, do I have to buy something else on a specific page?

I don't think so. These are the things you gonna need:

- Server
- Domain
- Opt. DDOS Shield/Filter
- Opt. Cloudflare
