Why you should NOT buy Valorant Beta accounts

04/21/2020 14:52 OUTBACK#1
Well, as I see many people who were selling Valorant Beta accounts on the Trading sections of this forum I felt like I needed to make this post. This is my personal overview about Valorant Beta accounts Trading:

As for now, the only way to get the key is by watching streams and you will unlock the beta like that on your Riot account.

These accounts are made at a specified account IP, which means if you will sell your account to an IP which is not close to the place you live it will probably get banned. Maybe it depends aswell from which country you used to watch the Twitch stream, as they're trying to ban account botters aswell, but I doubt that.

Currently I have a friend who lives around 20 kms away from me and uses a beta account from me and has not been banned, which means it will probably be country bound. Maybe in the future when its out of Beta we can start buying accounts, but for right now I would not recommend it.

Not only this, but there are lots of scammers active with Valorant Beta accounts in the Trading Section! So please BE AWARE!

This is not an official statement, this is just by me as a warning - for the community.

I hope I helped you out!

-> If you do have anything to add about this, just write it down in the comments or PM me to add it in this thread, as we want to avoid people buying accounts and simply waste their money by getting banned.

I think they dont care, because right now nothing is happening, and later it will be way too late... That tweet also is just them saying "yeah we care, we do something about it" ...but they dont.
As long as you buy an account that would count towards your region, you should be fine.

But yeah, lots of scammers and some were even pushing prices on auctions with their alt accounts (discord for example)

Well for now, we do know that they ban accounts which are not from the same region as the original owner, so just to be sure I would not recommend buying in general as you never know what is its original region.

Probably, but eh quite risky after all, its a gamble to be honest in my opinion, but could maybe work out. Most likely it's on your own risk.

You can check "in what country that account was made/region" in account.riotgames.com

"quite risky" nah, very low risk, even if you do somehow get banned you could ask for support and say you used a vpn or on vacation(somewhat harder because covid but still possible) or something else.

No it shouldn't work that way for my case i'm selling my 2nd account I never sold any other accounts before so it should be fine.
It is just a matter of logic and rationality if they find out that there are 10 or more accounts being used which are all coming from 1 ip they'll for sure be able to conclude that this isn't legit and it'll be very easy for them to retrace all the accounts coming from that IP and banning them(if it's not a vpn or proxy).
So anyone buying from legit sellers like me who isn't planning to sell more accounts and didn't get them by boting should be safe.

Sure, there are definitely exceptions of people who won't get banned, but there is a high chance if you use an account that was created in another region.

Obviously, there is no official statement of anything I wrote, it's simply my point of view which I like to share with you guys.

Yop havent seen any people getting banned last days either. Seems like this was only a thing once Riot made their post to scare some people

As it seems, there is still this risk to get banned, probably not in huge ban waves but simply here and there a few. Obviously who want to take the risk should take it, thats entirely up to those people.

My opinion is still not to buy, as you can just get it for free if you have a bit of luck, and it would be a waste to lose the account if you spent some cash for it.

Thanks for your feedback guys. Hope we are helping some people out with their decisions.

As long as you run a VPN with the country that the account was created at you don't have any chance to get banned as far as my experience goes.

Running your computer for 24h+ only to get the chance of a key is not worth it to be honest. 5€ is even less than you probably have to pay for the power your PC is consuming while running those streams.

So as long as it only cost ~5€ you aren't risking anything worth troubling yourself about in my opinion.
