04/17/2020 21:10 Troll King#1
Hello guys.

I am looking for some Bigpoint gamers which played the loved Browsergames War of Titans, Gladius2, Arenas of Glory.

Would be awesome if someone remember the way the EXP and LvLup or Dmg worked.

What i found out so far or remember:

•weapons were available in Silver and Gold

•also with 3different buffs (i think silver,gold,rubin?)

•3stages of character/body which doubled their stats per level up (cost realmoney?)

•you could escape into another lobby throu gates/holes

•different skills were limitit available in arena and recharged at mainmenu

•you could collect silver/gold and € or even little buffs from boxes or npc loot

•you got SP which regulated your league? 5 too 1 (5beginner-1best league)

•oh, and there was also equip, which didint change outfit from character

So, i want bring it back, i am developing it in Unity3D and try to release a "lightversion" of it this year and continue then with updates.

If you could remember the exp and dmg system could really help me a lot.

Like, were did u got EXP? killing players, npc or boxes?

And how was the logout? 10seconds no battle right? (but still killable)

The picture show the topdown view and models in 3d which i would use for it

Much much thanks in advange people!!!

Hey,

I really miss that game.

If u still working on it why u dont ask Bigpoint to send u the game? maybe they will do it.
Sometimes i think about that but i dont know anything about Running a Game...

I hope u still Working on it.

On my Yt i have some old Videos from the game (please ignore the sound xDD)

You got for each mob Exp. If a Mob had a red star it gaves a lot of Exp, because it was stonger(higher level) yellow star wars around your level i think -10+10.
and if they had a white star u got nothing or 0,1 Exp.

Killing Players gave also Exp same stuff with the stars (lvl differnt) many times we damage someone hard to low life and let a lower player kill him because he gain much Exp( in pvp, if u are close to lvl up u loose a lot of Exp if u died.)

I really loved that game.
If u still working on it, i cant wait to play it :D

Any news about the game?

Hello,
I have few infos about the game that I remember:
-the 3 buffs were these: attack buff, defense buff and speed buff.

The buffs were represented by a piece of meat (you pick up this piece from the floor and it gives you attack buff), a shiel (gives you defense buff) and "speed boots" (gives you speed buff).

Each buff was during about 8seconds if my memories are good.

-There were 3 different characters, and each of them has their proper buff (one had the speed buff, one the defense buff and the last one had attack buff).
These buffs could be bought for ~150gold for 1 buff, usable in arena by tapping space bar (with a max storage of 3 buffs)

Of course, a character with "defense buff" were able to pick up (e.g.) a piece of meat from floor, giving them attack buff. Each item "from floor" was appearing randomly on map and stayed until someone picked it up.

There were "alloys" to enhance weapons strenght:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

At left, it's "tin alloy", buyable with silver coins (strenght x2). At right, it's "fusioning alloy" (or alloy in fusion?), buyable with gold and making your weapon strenght x4
This alloy were usable for a certain amount of clicks (attacks). I think you could attack about 15 times with 1 alloy.
You were able to buy alloys from arena, but that was more expensive than buy them directly on website menu (but sometimes it was better to stay in arena, to earn more jackpots for example).

There were some mops, and one of them looked like a boar. You could hit it with weapon, and at each hit, the mob runned really fast in one direction. After a lot of hits, when the mob died, it gave you randomly a good amount of silver, OR ~200golds OR a € jackpot.
This mob appeared randomly, such as each mob of this game.

I hope that was useful for you. You can MP me for other information if you want.
I really hope one day someone will make this game again...

any news?

Yeah i would like to see more. This game is absolutly epic.

So there was a bunch of weapones in the Shop, 2 variants in Silver and Gold.

For every weapon you could activate a weapone buff like you said Red, silver and the other one. Its like the first give 0.25 dmg boost the other one maybe 0.50 and Red like 1 dmg multiplyer.

Inhaber you could get silver throug killing and finding, it randomly spawns. Gold was Kind of rare.

There was different npc Monsters with Star System like other people said it. There was an clan System with ally system and Clan friends oder enemys. I remeber it was a big Feature.

I hope you get All infos and source you need, maybe we should open an discord and make Kind of Revival promo to get more Info, surce or maybe financiel help :)

This is the info I remember, hope it can be useful to someone....

The game started with you selecting one of the 3 caracteres: the 1st one was free, the other 2 caracteres you had to buy them with gold coins.

Currency:
silver coins - can be farmed breaking the wooden boxes. There was a multiplier per npc killed, the more nps you kill while collecting silver, the more silver you will get at the end once you decide to log off from the arena. If you get killed you lose the multiplier and will only get the silver coins collected from the crates.

Gold coins - same as silver collected from the boxes. Multiplier doesnt apply for gold coins.

Euros/ dollars - you were also able to farm the euros/dollars from the boxes, the rate was very low. The idea behind this was the monthly tournament from bigpoint that they used to do in all of their games, this can be removed from the game tho since during the last stages of the game bigpoint wasnt making the tournament anymoee. Up to you.

There was no conversión from silver to gold or viceversa.

Packages

You were able to buy 3 packackes with real money, the cost was 10-15 if im not wrong. You were also able to buy gold with real money

1. Multiplier pack last 1 month - multiplies by 2 the Currency collected thru the boxes.

Premium pack last 1 month - turns your account to Premium account. Premium account were able to cuztomize and own an arena and people were able to use those arena from the Premium users. Also, Premium users were able to skip the upgrade function one by one and directly selecy how many levels you wamt to upgrade your gear. Also, were able to log off from the arena fasters within 5-10 seconds. Normal users needes 30 seconds.

The last pack I cant remenber but it was related to buy gold.

Weapons/armors

Tiers
There were 2 tiers of weapons and armors, silver and gold. Silver weapons/armors can only be bought with silver, gold weapons can only be bought with gold.

Type of gear
Armors:
Helmet - chest plate - shield - bracelet

Weapons:
9 type of weapons. The last two were different on each character

Gear can be upgraded with Currency. Silver Gear with silver and gold Gear with gold. Máx level 250 (there was a big which allowed to go beyond that but thats anothsr story)

Gears have durability, weapons lost 1% every four attack. Armor durability was related to your health so unless you didnt get hit the durability didnt drop.

Alloys -
Can be added to the weapons. There were two tyoes of Alloys blue and fire. Blue allow can only be bought with silver, fire alloy can only be bought with gold. There were many forms to get fire Alloys without actually buying them. The Alloys came in some sort of package so 1 Alloys can last 10 hits. Blue alloy gave 2x attack power, fire alloy gave 4x attack power.

Characters
Start at level 1 with a level 1 sword and one level 1 bracelet (silver gear).

Characters have 3 tiers. The 1st one, the one you start with, very skinny.
The 2nd one changes the Characters a little, turns a little bulky. The cost was around 40,000 gold.

The 3rd and last one the Character turns very muscular. The cost was 300,000.

Characters had special skills, once activated they last for 60 seconds. Priscus had strenght, versus had speed, and magnus had defense.

You were able to obtain it as a buff from the boxes, that way only lasts for 30 seconds

Strenght (meat) gives x2 power attack
Speed (boots) gives movement speed and x1.5 power attack.
Defence (shield) reduces the damage received by 50% (im not quite sure about the number but it was something like this). The shield doesnt buff your defense but reduces the damage received.

The defense didnt exist on the game, you only had hp. You will always hit the same regardless if it was a level 1 Players or level 100 plus with full gear. The gears didnt buff your defense but your hp.

League system
The game had 6 league. You start at level 1 in the last league which was league 6.

Leagie 6 - level 1 to 9
League 5 - level 10 to 19
League 4 - level 20 to 29
League 3 - level 30 to 51
League 2 - levelb 51 to???
League 1 - top 500 characters

Baazar
There was a bazaat every 1 hour where you were able to bid for some items

Guilds
You were able yo create guilds with 100,000 silver or 1M cant remenber. Players were able to donate silver to the guild and give it to the guild members as needed by the guild máster. There were no missions to do for the guild.

Damage system

Im not sure how they calculated this tho. The best weapon I remember when maxes used to have around 100k+ attack power but you were able to hit millions. It was definetely related to the level. If I recall correctly 2 players with full gold gear and weapon all maxed with fire alloy and meat were able to kill each other within 4-5 hits. If u use shield obvioualy will last longer as the Damage you received was recuded a lot. If im not wrong I think the shield buff cancels the meat buff, so if you hit a player with shield using meat it will be as if you dont have the buff meat.

Exp system

You were able to obtain 0,1 Exp from boxes from league 6 until 3. For league 2 and 1 u didnt get Exp from boxes.

Killing npc and players also gives exp. Depends on the color of the star that player/npc had. There were white, y ellow and red stars. If your level was around the same then the star will show as yellow, if the npc/player was lower level than you will see a white start. If the npc/player was higher level then it will be a red star.

How Many levels? This varyvfrom the league.

Leagues 6,5 and 4 had a 5 level difference. So if the npc/player has a difference of 5 levels from your level the star you will see it as changing. White if 5 or more levels lower than you, yellow if within the 5 levels range, it can be 4 levels lower or 4 levels higher and still show as yellow. Once 5 or more level difference is found then the star will be red.

Im league 3 the level difference was 10 levels.
In league 2 the level difference was 20 levels.
In league 1 I dont know, but do the math if I have to guess it will be around 50 levels or so.

Also if you kill a player you get their exp. Meaning that player that got killed will lose exp.

Killing npc didnt gave much exp. I think the one that gve more exp was the lion in league 1 which was 10 exp.

Red star npc gave no more than 2.0 and above but no more than 10 exp
Yellow star will give around 1,0 to 1,9 exp
White starts will give from nothing to 0,9

Yeah literally nothing. Once the levels gap becomes big enough Killing those white stars wont give sh@t.

Let me know if you have any questions. Maybe I can help.

Hey there! I played those games back in the day, and they were fantastic. From what I remember, you gained EXP primarily by killing NPCs and completing quests. There were also bonuses for taking down other players. The damage system was quite balanced, with different weapons and buffs significantly impacting your combat effectiveness. Logout was indeed a 10-second countdown with no battle actions allowed, but you could still be attacked. Also, the SP system you mentioned ranked players based on performance, with 1 being the top league. I'm excited to see your project in Unity3D. Good luck with the development!

Hello everyone,

I have been tracking this thread for a while, and it seems that idea about remake was abandoned. 6 months ago I have started with similar project, and we have some nice progress.

If you are interested, check for more info on next thread: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Are you maybe interested to become part of closed testing?
