4Nova - Safe?

Hey,

yesterday i saw the trailer to the new server "4Nova" (release 17.04.20)

I asked on the discord about the keylogger, bc they use the same template as vibe4story (or something like that idk) and postet that link from 4ancient:

they said "there was never a keylogger for players!", but deleted all my messages about it.
so idk, im confused and scared to try this server.
maybe someone of you know more about it or could test the client (download on 17.04. available), if there is any keylogger inside.
I heard they worked over a year on the server, so i thought it isnt a 0815 server, but I dont want a keylogger or something else on my pc.

The developer actually is the same as from vibe, so better be careful.

Also they wrote in their trailer "changed cw rewards" -> Is it really a that huge thing so they need to put it into a trailer? I don't think so. They won't have any unique features. Worldboss is stolen from 4 Ancient.

4Ancient wasnt the first with Worldboss, 4Retro wasnt the first with Orcs. There will be allways the same feature in 4Story. 4Vision was the first special 4Story server^^

This is true.

I talked with a Admin on 4Nova.
They will upload every file with a virustotal scan, to calm down people like me who are scared of a keylogger. They never had infect any player on there server with a keylogger and wont do it in the future.
The admin was very friendly and answered all my questions! They worked over a year on the server to guarantee the best possible result, so i think everyone should give the server a chance!

That is false. Check out the 4Ancient post you linked.
They did it and due to that, they could get access to Araz source.

Nonetheless, if they learned by their mistakes, good.
Doesn't change the fact that it happened in the past, so there's no way to say 100% they won't do it again. That is what I think.

Everyone else is free to make their own decision, but saying that it never happened is lame.

Of course it happened, i was involved in it alot but there was a reason why we did that and to who we did that(not saying that its good or sth, i would even say that we were balancing on a very thin edge). Also the virus was delivered to two people only but others might have experienced defender or other antivirus alarm due to boostedlib which was used in launcher back then and that was the time when everyone thought we infected whole playerbase which wasnt true a single bit. It would be impossible to handle all sessions and to just pick one if we ever wanted to get araz source. I believe that we all learned from this and it aint gonna happen ever again. Thats all from me on this topic.

At the end i also wanna apologize for what all happened to jirkus & konst. But i guess we are equal.
