Possible ban if you group with a cheater?

Anyone know if a legit account groups with a cheater and the cheater gets banned, is the legit account at risk If they often group?

Only the Cheater will be banned. But i think they will bann also the Group if they boost x wins. If it's a random cheater for only one game, they won't bann you.

there is no way your going to get banned unless a MOD/ADMIN physically went in and banned you

yes i dragged and carried some high level ranked clean players. they also added me to friends.
2 days later i got banned , with a new account i was still able to join some high ping hack lobbies,
and i could see all the players i did carry in the same high ping hack server for 3-4 rounds.

btw now i can not join anymore matches it searches forever (shadowbann)

the stance to not ban people playing with cheaters is changing though. matchmaking with randoms is one thing but carries (paid or not) and teaming with cheaters will now get you banned in Destiny 2 (last twab). i think this is something the whole gaming industry will adopt at some point (if not already).
