Rust bans how do they work?

I've never had a rust ban, and have been thinking about trying some cheats out and dont know what happens on first bans? Do they ip ban hwid? Or is that only on the 3rd ban after? I only play on vanilla servers rusticated ones, just curious on how rust handles bans thanks everyone

Depends on what you were banned for ... i got a 1 month ban for scripts once ... other than that its hwid the first time i believe.
