Upgrade MySQL

Hi All,

Can't find the right place to post my question, so will be doing it here.
Is it even possible to upgrade the MySQL version of the older files?
With older files i mean the ones that are using MySQL version 4.*?
Would like to upgrade it to 5.* but don't know where to look at!

AccountServer is running on newer MySQL, but the MSGServer and NPCServer are giving errors..


Hope there is somebody that can give me a go in the right direction!

to be honest mate depending on how far you have got with your files, it would probably be easier to start again with all the latest files,
there are alot of newer actions, db lines and even classes that the older msg and npc servers havent got coded into them, so unless you are good at editing exe files you mightaswell get new ones.
i would recommend getting these files from this post, which mainly require translating and basic modifications:

dont forget to give him thanks though as these files are working great and was very generous to give them.

ps: you dont need a specific windows version for these, i have them working on win 7 pro,win 8.1 pro and win 10 pro.

It was for a CT server, so there aren't newer files :-(!
Anyway, i made my PHP 7.2 working by creating a API layer.
So the Database is 100% local and there is no connection from PHP to that.

Probably will be creating a Tutorial about that later, so it can help people to create a server and run the website with a newer version of PHP.

If anybody would like to know how, just send me a PM for now.

yea that would be a nice idea mate, some people don't have a clue about creating websites :D
