Hey, For once someone's not asking about "OMG CAN THIS HAXX BE MADE?" Rofl..

But anyways, to the point of the thread, Is there any way that a kinda of "Stand alone Chat client" Can be made, so you can chat with your friends/Guild/Etc. Without being in CO, (Although it would probably still require you to log in your character, But the RAM usage, CPU, etc is almos 1/5 of the CO client, Since its only a few lines of chat and the chat bar.)

The purpose is for those who want to quit CO, but those who want to keep contact with friends that may not have AIM/YIM/MSN/ICQ/etc. (Also this probably needs a revive function so if you are killed, you'll just wind up in the city again.)

Just an idea, Maybe could use some working around and someone with some spare time to do the project.

I don't think this is possible, but how hard is it to just log on and chat, it won't kill you too see the graphics.

This is possible, but very difficult. The problem with making one of these is the bot detection packets that are sent. We have very little knowledge of the bot detection packets (specifically how to respond to them). If you were willing to sit in bot jail to chat (dont know if you can chat in bot jail), this would be much easier. For the moment, I doubt it would be at the top of anyone's priority list. However, if you are interested in programming one yourself, my lesson on proxies should give you a good start on how to do it.

Chat works just fine in bot jail. I wish i didn't know that lol. Still stuck in there.

Yeah, But ti'd Be a convience to Save like 20-40 MB of RAM for another FF window or somin, And still be able to chat with People ingame.

If chating from botjail is possible a stand alone chat client is very easy to make.
Maybe t3hn00bz0r will make one if you ask him. Or UltimateHacker.
