PC upgrade.

Hello, hello! Since I feel like my PC is getting slower compare to others after new CPU's, RAM's and so on release, it's time for me to upgrade a bit. I don't think that my PC is hella bad or anything, because I have no problems at all, I just want to stay up to date a bit.

So that's my PC :
  • Motherboard - Asus PRIME x470 Pro
  • CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
  • GPU - Gigabyte 1080
  • RAM - 16 GB (2x8GB) G.Skill
  • SSD - 2x SSD 500 GB and 1x 500GB M.2 SSD + 1TB HDD
  • Cooler - Dark Rock Pro 4
  • Power supply - Seasonic PRIME Ultra Gold 650W ATX23

My budget is around 500-700 Euro.

Maybe you could take a look at your CPU and GPU.
The Rest is just fine, an Ryzen 3000 CPU's is really worth it something like the 3700x.
Everything else seems to be up to date for me. Like the 2700x isn't that bad either your 1080

Would you like to for an Nvidia GPU or an AMD GPU?

U can go for a Ryzen 3700x(dont forget to Biosupdate). But i don't think its worth it. Ur Computer is still pretty good. U wont get the boost u expect, from that money u invest.

I would never recommend to buy new stuff, if its not needed. Thats wasted money.

Thanks for the answer.
Of course I want to keep the GPU at Nvidia, because I do like them and I am not big fan of AMD GPU yet until they release new ones.

That's what I thought to be honest, not sure if I gain big boost from the update.

If you want some good nividia performance, something like a RTX 2060S or RTX 2070S could solve your GPU problem. Those GPUs have enough performance for todays gamers AAA games.

Make sure to get 8GB VRAM instead of 6GB VRAM. I don't know if Nividia's reference coolers are decent, but I would just by experience lay my hands on a custom design.

A good advise from me to you, would be to inform yourself by watching some hardware videos and benchmarks.
