Candy db HELP

i recently downloaded the candy db set everything up and the msg server wont connect to the account server. acct server loads up just fine.

its got my and account databases

msg errors

connect to account server again

Make sure you've edited shell.dat

and when your editing your shell.dat as ibeatuall was saying make sure that you are using a hex editor (not notepad) and that the resulting file is 72 bytes and in the proper format. Refer to this guide: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] for details on shell.dat. There are also a couple shell.dat modifiers that do all the work for you if you search this forum.

Get the shell.dat that if i am not mistaken that funhacker released
It would be in the release of newbie tools that was maid for are use. To use it
Extract the rar file. Open the shell.dat editor. Put ur ip of ur server in frist line then ur ip then the pass to ur data base. then hit the okay butt then it will put the file u need where every u have ur program at. If u need anymore help i will be more then willing to get it going for u just pm me a message

Nope none by funhacker. The one I used way back when was released by sandolkakos here [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and drew666 released another one here [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] but I never tried it.

i edited the shell.dat also

ive noticed that the acct server is not connecting fully it gets to framework ok then connects...

Your account server will say framework ok until a msg server successfully connects to it.

Please use the edit button when adding information to a previous post if no one else has posted yet.

where is says account on ur gamserver.cfg change it to my

so it should look like this

gameserver.cfg
600 1 127.0.0.1 root rufeng my

above post is correct, change the account to my.

don't copy & paste because not all server files are like that, for example:

Mine goes like this:

ibeatuall thats the gameserver.cfg in the gameserver folder or where ever u keep the msg and npc servers. the gameserver.cfg i posted was in the acct server folder.


and to king i did use the edit button :) like i am now

ok i turned off all the virus protection and firewalls and got this (attached), i have never had this much trouble with any other db but this candy db.... :rtfm:

could it be the mysqld-nt.exe process that needs to be changed? when shut off the acct server doesnt even open i dont know.. change it?

p.s. the owner wants the candy db so im going to give it to him lol <----to anwser the question why not use a different db?

Hmm did you make sure all the SERVERNAME= lines are exactly the same in all your server files?

try it at local host
127.0.0.1 it'll tell you if its a problem with ur ports or if its a config problem
also if its the mannequin full or candy's old DB
or if your using this i've always had problems with it
