[QUESTION]gear problems

im having some problems with my gears, im creating a EO type server, but with about 15x higher rates, and im having problems with my gears, I've tried to edit cq_itemaddition(server side) and itemaddition(client side) and yet it still tells me i have the lowest gears, could someone provide me with the files needed to fix?

or could someone tell me what i have to remove to fix it(candy db)

to define that u need to add a reqlevel in itemtype.dat and cq_itemtype and it should be fine :) i have many expirience about weapon that i learn it from candy..there was nothing to do with itemaddition if u want it told to u have a lowest gear..

hoho..u mean this is the problem huh?
if this is your problem there was no one have solve this..from what hio said this is a MSG problem..not the database or client..im think that too..coz TQ made their weapon level limit 125..

i tried using 2 different msg servers, neither worked, one from candy(custom gears), and one from mannequin(no custom gears)

have u try candy client database and their server file too..? try use it..then try to upgrade the level..if this not work so there was no one solve this..if this work fine there was have something to do with the database and client

it worked with normal candy, im trying to remove it to give it a more EO feel.

but ill just raise the level of anything for level 139 or lower(custom gear) to 255, that way it wont mess anything up, thanks for the help though.

if u use candy DB he made the sword the last lvl of it 125 but u can upgradelvl of all other equip but if u wanaa sword 2 u can ask candy for that

i dont want to upgrade the sword, im trying to remove the upgrader from allowing you to put in level gear higher then 125(91 for boots)

umm try just removing ALL excess weapons/gears. The way it does the +1pot for level best is based from the "id" of the item so searching via req_lev may be wrong. Also check your dat, I would suggest just using my demo of the new itemtype editor I am working on which lets you filter your ids so this way you can just see ALL the swords in your itemtype.dat and nothing else.

i've tried searching cq_itemtype for the ID's in itemtype.dat and none were found, so i don't know why its still reading them.

Perhaps its just a client side graphical error? Client is calculating the potency by what it knows and since it sees weapons in the itemtype.dat it calculates the -1 for not best because it doesn't know the server doesn't have them.
