GearCheck displays gear pieces and traits of other players.

Stats are on the left, runes and sigils on the right. The names are shortened to make them fit into the screen. The letter prefix indicates rarity: L is legendary, A is ascended, E is exotic and so on. Specs and traits are on the bottom.

PvP gear and infusions are not currently supported.

GearCheck is currently outdated. Some hardcoded offsets broke in the January update. I have plans for rewriting this tool to be more patch resilient once I return to the game some time in the future.

1. Start the game, login and choose character
2. Start GearCheck.App.exe

GearCheck is still working after Shadow in the Ice patch. No updating needed.

The upcoming balance patch however is going to change some traits which I need to fix manually.

Should work now, I've fixed the broken charctx offset. It changes very rarely so I haven't bothered creating signatures for it.

Extra 2020-02-25:

Here's a small side project called Vision. It allows you to see more around you by patching the field of view and render distance functions. I like it in WvW. This is inspired by uNf trainer but without the constant need of updating.

Usage:

1. Start the game, login and choose character
2. Start Vision.exe, a console window should flash quickly
3. Take a couple steps in game and try zooming out

If you find an area where the field of view doesn't work, please let me know.

Anet can't detect GearCheck at the moment - and I highly doubt they ever will. Gear checking does not give unfair advantage and there is no business reason to punish customers who are doing so.

Their solution to the previous gear checker (BGDM) was to permanently ban the developer instead.
