does ssd matter in vps?

i bought a vps with sata hard
i'm thinking to buy ssd
will it make any difference for the server?

Depends. If your source makes heavy use of disk i/o then yes, but I haven't really seen anyone do that, so most likely you'll be fine with a regular HDD.

Your database uses I/O though. I have seen speed improvements by simply switching to a SSD. Not to mention Windows & HDDs.

Make your life easier and spend a little extra and get the SSDs.
