what is the service channel for? my friend said it dead and do nothing.

supposed to be the channel u talk to gms through....ie type in your servers gm name...like honor[GM] and talk to her through service...thats what I have heard...dont know if its true....u submit live tech support requests that way

It's pretty much a gm/pm channel for complaints/issues/etc.
If anyone is on, he/she will reply to you.

yup in chinese servers as long as theres more than 3 ppl saying the same thing, they will go there with their gm accs.

when a gm is online you can type in service and s/he will hear it. Helpfull for getting out of bot jail etc..

Working very well... i just send "bonjour" and they answer by "comment vas tu ?" ! lol
I love french (but they live in china) Gms :D
