[Question] Host my Server w/out Hamachi.

Hello guys and good morning :)

Well, i've got some problem. It's just alright with my Server. I hosted it with My IP-Adress, so w/out hamachi.

My Problem is, that every 24 Hours my router does a Reconnect, which means i get another IP-Adress. After that the IP-Adresses in my Config.ini and Server.dat are wrong for sure!

I wondered how i shall do it then.
It's not aviable to make the Router non-Reconnect.

Is it maybe doable with DynDNS? ( Made my Website already with DynDNS )

Yes, that was for sure in my mind.
So i guess there's no other way, right? Still not with DynDNS?

Couple options.

#1: get a static ip (although you may be better off just buying a vps depending on how much your provider wants to charge you. A decent vps is only 20-30 bux a month)

#2: use an ip forwarder (No-ip.duc). It's free, it just updates your ip every time you turn the computer on (or auto reset it every x hours/minutes) so that you use something like blablabla.no-ip.net.

#3: It seems very unlikely that the router can't be set to not reconnect... I mean obviously it will still happen from time to time but it shouldn't necessarily happen every 24 hours... or maybe it's something on your service provider's end meaning you will need a different solution.

I just got known my Internet Provider doenst Offer a Static IP, not for my tarif. Just for the business one >.<

And also, i would Host it with DynDNS, or something like it, but i bet it wont work. What would i had to do? Pasting the IP from my Domain there in Config.ini and Server.dat , right? ( My server is on 5165 )

Oh, and sorry, whats a vps? Heard it alot of times, but still don't know what it is ^^

Virtual Private Server.

You rent a virtual machine which is hosted on a dedicated server, it will share the resources of the host machine between upto 20 other VPS perhaps even more if the machine is powerful enough.

Got any refers for that?

What i found was 150+$/month and that quiet too much :D
