Tiling Conquer

Just a quick question & or suggestion:
I was wondering if there is a possible way to have maybe 4-6 conquers on one desktop tiled to fill the screen? A usefull application for this would be if you have a bunch of miners and would like to keep an eye on all of them at the same time without alt-tabbing screen to screen every 5 minutes.

I was just wondering if someone has attempted this or seen it done with conquer?

very good idea.....for some reason tho i dont think it would work. being that there is no...window around it....but i could be wrong

i remember on co1 you could actually see a border with some sort of taskbar at the top but the size would be predetermined by the mode you were in while in the game. I am currently in window mode when running co2 but I dont see the same features :cry:

he means like this: example: open 5 internet windows.....right click the internet window stack and click tile horazontaly

It probably require some kind of a window scroll-like feature or an option to make resolution of the window smaller.

The tiling part could be done with a software that's usually used for cameras (in shop for example) but I've no idea how it would work if the resolution stays the same, as there's no way, as far as I'm concerned, of making it smaller.

I've tried some programs but they all failed since it was impossible to change Conquer's size of the window.

I think if you gonna try to make the window smaller you will not make your game view smaller so you will se a screen with only one char that only can jump three steps from his coords.

But if im wrong it is a master id, not only for mining but for plvl yourself :D

If we had 5-6 computers then okay.

get a 21-inch monitor (CRT mostly becuase they tend to have higher res) and then just put them all in 800 by 600. might be able to get a few off like that. But, remember that 800x600 windowed does have a smaller field of view than 1024x768 windowed.

i think you could use alt desk of aston shell

-put resolution @ 1600/1200
-put conquer resolution @800/600

voila! you can see 4 windows! :eek:
