Some of you might be familiar with the Epoch brand name already. We've come back stronger than ever! We made a server that is unique.
No other server has the features that we do, which we are very proud of.
But having unique features also makes things confusing for some. Therefore I'm going to lay out the basic information here on what's different compared to a "normal" private server.
1. Gems
Kylingems now have a second affect next to improving durability. They improve your mining rates. Normal = 1%, Refined = 2% and Super =3%
increase of rare item drops while mining. If you have a full set of SuperKylingems you get a increase of 36% on rare item drops while mining.
Furygems now have a second affect next to landing more hits while auto attacking. They make fishing & brewing faster. Normal = 1,
Refined = 2 and Super = 3 seconds faster fishing & brewing. This can make a significant difference as tier5 fish take 60 seconds to fish.
A full set of SuperFurygems shorten fishing & brewing time by up to 42 seconds. You can never fish & brew faster than 4 seconds.
2. Mining
Mining has been significantly improved as some have noticed already. You will find loads of normal/refined gems, Dragonballs, Meteors and more while mining.
You can find 1/8/24-HourAlchemyMaster boxes through mining aswell. We strongly suggest having 2 miners up and running at all times.
Not only have we improved mining a lot to the point that it's actually worth doing, we've added a new skill to it aswell called "Mining".
You need to upgrade this skill in order to mine in better minecaves. If you max out your mining skill you can mine in Bird Island, which is the only minecave where you can mine Supergems.
You can obtain the Mining skill by simply mining.
You can use OreThrow tokens to automatically throw away a certain amount of ores. You can disable this feature at OldMiner in every minecave.
OreThrow tokens can be obtained by luck through brewing.
3. Fishing
Fishing is something that I've developed to give the game more depth. You need to talk to Fisher in TwinCity to learn the new skill "Fishing"
Hunt for fishbait and equip a FishingRod can you get from Fisher. Go to the water line of any city map and go onto the white spots to start fishing.
You need to level up the skill Fishing in order to fish at more city maps, where you can find higher tier fish.
Fish is the base ingredient to brew potions with.
You can find 1/8/24-HourEfficientHunter boxes by luck through fishing.
ExperiencedFisher status allows you to automatically scroll your fish when your inventory is full. You can also scroll them manually at Fisher.
ExperiencedFisher boxes can be obtained by luck through hunting monsters.
4. Brewing
Brewing is a massive game-changer. It is our alternative to Chi/Jiang hu. It is not based on luck, anyone can obtain the same potions fairly.
You can brew 5 different tiers of potions. You have to level your Brewing skill in order to brew higher tier potions.
You can obtain this skill by talking to any of the BrewingStands in Market.
You can save every ingredient that is used to make all the potions at the AlchemyWarehouse. The space is unlimited.
We've decided to add this in because these ingredients take
too much space up in your warehouses. You can find 240/600/200-OreThrow tokens by luck through brewing.
You can brew: HP/MP potions and +/-Final P/M damage potions. The final damage potions will drastically change how PvP works.
It makes every class viable and solves the issue of players no longer hunting after they have decent equipment.
These potions last a limited amount of time and if you do not counter them in PvP you will take a lot of damage no matter how good your equipment is.
These potions will be a core factor in PvP, though you won't get far with just those potions alone.
AlchemyMaster status allows you to brew up to 40 potions in one sitting and use ingredients directly from your AlchemyWarehouse.
This is especially useful in the higher tier potions as they require a lot of ingredients to make.
AlchemyMaster boxes can be obtained by luck through mining.
5. How to make sockets.
Weapon sockets are obtained the same way: 1 Dragonball for 1st socket, 5 Dragonballs for the 2nd socket.
We've changed the 1st socket for all other equipment. Normally you can obtain the 1st socket by using 12 Dragonballs, this is not the case on Epoch.
In order to obtain the 1st socket in equipment you have to met spam in Forging > Upgrade > Level/Quality.
We've made the 1st socket quite easy so you can gear up decently in a reasonable time span. It will take on average about 100 Meteors per 1st socket.
2nd equipment socket can be obtained the same way, but is a lot harder. You can choose to use ToughDrills/StarDrills as alternative.
These can be bought at Luna in Market.(Note it is very expensive)
6. Hunting
Hunting works as usual. You defeat monsters, they drop loot. We've added a extra skill to this activity. When you kill your first monster you will obtain a new skill called "Hunter".
This skill will give you a x% chance of double dropping rare items. This is the only skill on Epoch that is not affected by Moongems.
The amount of EXP you receive per monster kill for this new skill is different for every class.
You can find 1/8/24-Hour ExperiencedFisher boxes through hunting.
You can make hunting easier for yourself by casting a EfficientHunter status upon your character.
Meteors/Dragonballs/+1Boxes will auto pick-up, and Meteors/Dragonballs will auto scroll upon killing a monster.
EfficientHunter boxes can be obtained by luck through fishing.
7. Dice throw
Every 30 minutes a Dice is thrown by the server. The dice decides what benefits will occur server wide. Here's a list of all possible benefits so far:
- Double Meteor drop
- Double Dragonball drop
- Double +1Box drop
- Double fishbait drop
- Double Promotion item drop
- Double catch rate for fish
- Double duration of status effect potions (only on the potions that are brewed within those 30 minutes)
- Double gem mining rate
