What is the risk of ban/suspension when buying WoW gold from say a website like g2g or guy4game?

Quite often those sites are selling gold at a higher price than what you are getting by buying and selling tokens. The risk is always there when buying gold. I've sold lots of gold and never got caught. You could be lucky or get punished the first time you buy gold...

But why are they still selling gold? There shouldn't be any kind of demand if their prices are higher.

Third party sites often have more payment methods (PSC...). Probably the way for underaged players to buy gold.

and its most of the time faster than selling wow tokens / for example you see something on the bmah which you wanna goldcap before anyone else could cap it -> with selling for example 60 tokens it would take hours to recieve the gold

Bumping this thread as I have the same question. I get that there is always a risk but, what can we do to mitigate that risk?
What site to use, how to trade it in game, anything else you HAVE to do or AVOID at all cost?
