Changing thread titles?

Heya!
Not too long ago, i made a forum post on another part of this community, trying to get a trade going for a game (the specifics aren't really relevant right now)

However, i made a few changes to my selling offer, and wanted to change the thread title accordingly, but... it's still the same as before on the boards?
And if the title stays the same then nobody will know i did changes to the offer in question.
And there doesn't seem to be any option to just delete the thread and make it again either.

Is this some sort of bug on the website? Is there any way to make the thread title change there, too? Or is there something i'm completely missing here?

you cant change the title by yourself.
The only way is via a moderator.

Here is a quick tutorial about how to let him know, that u want to change it.

Oh yeah, that worked just fine!

You don't really need a reason for it tho.

Thats not entirely true
you can change the title of your own topic up until 1 hour after creation of said topic

It would be nice, if we can change our titles in the Trading Area/Black market. Because sometimes you change the price of your product, and then maybe the people are more willing to look into the thread.
If they now 50€ is a no go for them, they don't even look inside the thread, but if you did go down to 30€ maybe then they would be interested.

Or you dont write the price directly in your thread title. We didn't gave users the option to do that after a long time because it is bound to a permission that would give you also a lot of other things that should be only available for moderators (such as editing threads also for other users etc.) It is not bound to your own threads, so users currently dont have this permission.

But that works in other forums too, looks like vbulletin have there some problems.
And it works with the 15mins? rule, can you not just set the timer on never ending?

This is intended to avoid users being able to break their threads.
