15 Second black screen

Hey guys,

I've had this issue since I've been using these server files, after I click a channel
and press connect, the client has a black screen for 15 seconds before loading the map instead of loading instantly like normal. I've read a few previous topics about similar issues, some people said it had something to do with the loginserver, accountgateserver, or the option.txt file in the bin folder. Haven't been able to find any solution with any of those things.

Its not ALWAYS 15 seconds, sometimes it loads instantly, sometime its only 7 or 8 seconds, 10 seconds, etc.


Was wondering if someone had a similar issue and fixed it?

try adding ip 127.0.0.1,0,0,Test to IPlist

Still not fixed. Anybody have any other suggestions or solutions?

If I remember right, it was something with the Game Options.

I’ve tried everything with the options, doesn’t change.

Version.ini, sometimes it doesnt display the message that version doesnt match. Check server side and see if theres any error when u hit connect.

no error, it loads just fine.

It just takes 15 seconds to load instant of the instant load time.
Its not my pc, cause this is the only client it happens on.

Hi Dan, I looked in the client script files for an extra loading process
but didn't find anything. Maybe you can find it...

I'm almost positive it has to do with the accountgateserverapp
that is required on A9 Exe's, unless I can find a way around it.

Its the response time between server and client.
i have the same issue connecting to my test server , however the dedicated server doesnt have this issue.
same files & client just diffrent server.

Weird, I had a dedicated server not too long ago and ran into the same issue on it as well.

Guess it just had to do with the server specs?

Could be yes , my test server is running most of the time on its max potential, which means it has a delay when the accountgateapp transfers data to the servers its comunicating with.
while the dedi , if someone logs in the packets are being send instantly.

you could check your firewall , i opened the ports for incoming connections and outgoing , this solved the issue a bit , now the server its specs are causing the delay.

do you also have a black screen after selecting a char?

Yeah, the black screen is after selecting a character and pressing connect.
its a 15 second black screen before the map loads. You can also still here
the music playing in the background before it loads.

edit: My test server is also running no where near max potential, so I'm not sure if thats the issue.
