PokeOne Bot, need suggestions.

Hello everyone,

I spent a good part of the last two weeks reverse engineering relevant parts of the PokeOne game and I'm at a point where I could piece together a powerful bot without too much problems.

I want to stay away from extreme rarities such as HA jolly gible, even though he'll bring in 1.5mil+ you can easily calculate 500k for safari entries and 120+ hours until you find one, which means the bot wouldn't help liquidity all that much in the short run unless you want to sell bad gibles all day, which are already totally overfarmed.

I am unsure which farms are the most profitable. Does anyone have any suggestions what to actually farm?

Farm HA competitive pokemon? Which one strikes a good balance of easily obtainable/bottable but still valuable?

Which region (Johto/Kanto) is more effective to play through (both in terms of time and efficiency) and where is the ideal place to stop if we're only interested in maximizing gold or cash/hour.

Are there any other tools people would be interested in? Let me know if you have any ideas, if a bot ever comes to fruition and you helped you will certainly be mentioned in the credits.

Thanks for any Input, p1RedLine

Would be interesting if everyone can make his own script with ur api like in PROShine :)

My approach is completely packet based, so my bot skeleton is basically just a finite state machine that evaluates packets, selects a state according to what the game needs, and then sends packets based on intended behaviour.

I don't have the functionality to call client methods/access client memory, and implementing it would take me an unreasonable amount of time working alone (going after my current understanding, of course). This makes it very hard to produce a realiable API so I have no plans for any such thing, sorry.

a bot which plays the whole kanto story would be nice since its the best money making imo

That's what I started working on, figured it's slightly better to make money than Johto. It should work but it's a big project with many small hurdles (need to code a lot of battle related stuff in, some type of AI, especially if it's supposed to work without a perfect setup), we'll see how long it'll take me to get it and get it right.

Mods can close this thread though, if they're reading. Not really anything to discuss anymore since I settled on a project..

What language u gonna use?

The bot will use C# almost exclusively for its internal functionality. I haven't decided what I will use for the GUI, but that's one of the last steps of my workflow anyway.

No release yet, if that's what you're asking.
