I just bought a cheat and got a zip-file that I checked via Virustotal.

This is the result:

Does a cheat need such malicious files to work, or is it scam?

Thanks

That's not true.

Unfortunately it is normal depending on how the cheat was packed / obfuscated / encrypted is that the result of antivirus.

I can pack you an empty .zip file and have it popup with the same stuff on virustotal.

just run that cheat on a VM and see if it works out for you or not

You'll find those warnings on a lot of different cheats since most of them need full admin rights and access to basically every part on your PC. Just because virustotal gives a trojan warning doesn't necessarily mean that the tool actually harms your PC.
I have 4 different cheat softwares on my PC and all of them have virus warnings, without containing any viruses ^^

depends on which trojan it is, But tbh mostly hacks will detect as trojan tho

hmmm there's a lot of scammers spreading their non-encrypted RATs so you should run it on a sandbox or a vm.
If you know how to use process hacker, it's enough to see what it do and if it add executable files to start up, but it's risky...
