Need information

so basically I stopped playing sro when tokens came out (the ones you trade in for weapons/armor etc..) and after few years I really want to get back into this game.Now what I want to know is the current state of the game, are those tokens still around? is it worth playing?are there many players? tell me everything you know :) thanks.

and by the way what is "Jcplanet"?

- It is even more Pay2Win than ~2012 (probably the time when you left).
VIP and stuff like that totally ruined the balance even more.
- Yes, Tokens are still there.
- I returned to iSRO last year when Aeolus opened (with Cap 90). But I left after 7 months a few weeks before they released Cap 110. The first few months were really funny. But the old SRO feeling from ~2007 never came back. But there were a lot of old players that returned. Simply because it was the first iSRO server from JCPlanet (they had one SRO-R server before). There are rumors out there that a new server will come out soon. If I were you I would wait for this server. In that case you can start fresh with a lot of other players around you. Joining an "old" server like Xian, Aeolus or Hestia does not make sense IMHO. Most players probably left already. The other players are afk most of the time. In other words: They suck. The really old servers are even worse. One last recommendation: If you join the new server stop playing a few weeks before Cap 110. A ton of people will leave at that time aswell. Simply because 99,99% of the players do not like everything that comes after Cap 100.
- JCPlanet is just another company that bought the licence to publish Silkroad online. They are working close together with Joymax. So you do not have to use a different Client to connect to there servers. Joymax still provides the infrastructure. Servers hosted by JCPlanet are: Aeolus, Palmyra (SRO-R), Xian (Chin only) and Hestia. If you want to join these servers make sure to create an account at JCPanets website. Theoretically you could also Joymax accounts to connect to there servers. But you would miss SoSun+5 Weapons until DG 9 and 100K SP.

tl;dr
It is only worth returning on a new server. And even then you should leave before Cap 110.

They all suck.
Most of them will close after a few weeks.
Others have some really stupid modifications.
And the rest is just stupid because the GMs and Admins are idiots.

Best pServers you can „find“ are invite-only pServers that are not open to the
public. But even there chances are high that they wont be online for long.
