Hacked Server!

Hello community, 30 minutes ago my server was hacked and shutted down(also in call chat hackers write bad things) how do i protect my server from this attack please help me!!

I have access to server and i can turn on again but im scared.. once i started server they attack me again

You know if the hacker hacked ur root or "just" your db?
