I haven't played CO since like 2013 and was wondering if CO is more popular now, the same, or way less active then before?

It's basically already death.

The two things that keeps the game is the x amount of bulkers and most of the times they either think ''I have paid allready to much to quit'' or just can't sell their accounts. And the 24/7 Egyptians camping at certain bosses to gain items.

I recommend you not to play and find another better game (because they're far more better games than this garbage).

I, myself, have quit this game as well and left this community. Just wanted to leave a message.

The private server scene is dying, yes. However the retail version of Conquer is still booming.

State of Retail: Stable, some improvements, but mostly disappointing
State of Private Servers: One foot in the grave, but a small handful of very impressive servers
State of Bots: 50ft under, super mega ultra dead but everyone loves to dig for them regardless.

I wouldn't say that private servers are dead, but they're definitely on their way out due to the Egyptian/Turkish community. They keep scamming each other these awful sources and then bleed money to host them and bot the top servers website. Then, people looking for a server go to that website, and think that's the best we have to offer. It's been killing this community for 10 years now. I feel that the developers here on epvp have really grown though, not so much in numbers but in talent. It still surprises me here and there, which is why I stay.
