ItemAdd.ini

Is there anyway to edit the runnable(Conquer.exe) to allow a bigger file size for ItemAdd.in

If i add even 1 extra line it will crash the client

Then you're doing it wrong

More likely that you entered a large number and the client doesn't know how to handle it, or your line format is just wrong.

It works just fine I done it on our current server Epoch, you're doing something wrong. There endless amount of resources in the conquer section in regards to this. Use your brain and search function stop being lazy.

lol jeez ignorance is bliss, im not a idiot. i bet you 10 USD its not a error iv made. its the runnable iv added about 10+ items in my itemadd lmfao its the Conquer.exe and before you compare it to you're own many conquer runnables are different. its clearly not the same as mine.

and you're really arrogant if you think i haven't searched the shit outa this..
id much rather use google and search myself than ask you stuck up people but after endless searching i made a thread. its cool i clearly was stupid to ever think id get any help from this community :rollsafe: Im pretty sure none of you guys get laid and thats why you spend you're time calling people lazy. try getting some pussy guys. Might cheer you up :pogchamp:

That was rather rude Epoch... Foe did everything right in terms of asking a question - showing work, defining a full question, etc. If you're going to point someone to our archive, at least point them in the right direction. @[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], perhaps it's order dependent. If you want the index for the item to start at a lower level, you might have to put it at the top of the group of records? Make sure it's not a duplicate key as well.

How is it being rude? All the resource in regards to this has been posted publically in this very sectioh. He's one of the people that has made constantly recent topics of problems that has already been resolved or asking information in regards to topics has been released.

Right, but if you have an opportunity to point someone like that in the right direction and help them figure out how to solve their own problem, isn't that more valuable? I'm all for shutting our small community out from people doing harm to it, but it's not going to grow if you shut everyone out. Pardon me if I sound naive, but I'm willing to give people a try, even if I don't think it's going to always turn out well.

Well he hasn't really provided much steps he has tried or previous resources he looked over before posting the questions. For example maybe thing he has done within the last few days to correct the problem prior to posting the thread aside from a simple screenshot of the itemadd.ini what other things has he tried or look over? I see none of these actually posted. I find that if you're looking for help you should at least jot down what steps have you tried to resolve the problem and resource you looked over.

In regards to my last post, Im sorry for being rude myself. but you almost spoke to me like a random eggy asking a stupid question. i have somewhat a brain, Not as much a spirited. But enough to know its not the formatt of the itemadd.ini @[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] I have indeed tried putting them in the official format but it still wont accept it, its almost like the file is capped at 153KB or maybe the amount is lines in the file? Im not sure but if i even add 1 byte of data it rejects it. Its really odd.

You don't need to talk yourself down or defend yourself. Regarding the problem, it's definitely not limited to 153KB. Ensure the new entry is correct. Post the entire file and what lines you edited if you'd like us to check. What patch are you working with? Do you have any launchers that validate the integrity of files?

Please answer all of my questions. What patch is this for? And it looks like there's a pattern to the file, if that's how it was originally found in your client. My client version isn't organized like that. It's not sorted by plus number, then item id.
