At first don't open a Server if you don't know how everything works.

Hi, please create only one topic with all questions together in the future, it's useless to open multiple ones. Simply reply with a new question in the old topic.

I'm sure if the mod renames one of the topics like "Questions about pserver" or something, it will be more useful for all to have answers in one topic :)

And please, don't try to create a server if you don't know the basics. We suggest you in a friendly way to learn more about it at first, maybe for another year.

if you dont know the basics.. full retard u guys are greedy ass fkers lol look at metin2 pservers vs 4story pservers. somewhat good comunity vs community full retard, no1 ever posted guides or anything new about this game since the files were released and when someone bothers to ask for help you tell him to not create one since he doesnt know the basics. smh

You cant really flame someone for not knowing anything, we all started from the bottom keep that in mind.

Yes you're right in this case but it's not a good reason to open a private server.

you have a point, but he didn't really state if he wants to open it in public worldwide or maybe he just wanted some friends to join like local server, other than that you're correct and he needs to just make test servers instead.

And you're a ~10year old kid who thinks it's fine to insult because you are safe behind your screen? We are not "greedy" you amateur, we care a lot about the game and community, thats why we suggest him not to make a public server. We say this with experience, we saw how previous beginner projects failed. Also we don't like it to split the community into more servers.
You can't imagine how many people asked me months ago (on Facebook) to create them a server or something, even for cash. Why?, because they think it's easy business to hold a server alive. The same happens on epvp, check out the previous pages. Could you imagine the chaos with much more little servers? Also, you forget that apart from the big servers (P4Story & Ancient) there are at least 5 smaller ones, you see we have a good reason to act like that.

Bullshit, there are a lot of topics with information how to set up a server or how to add new things, use the search function or check out the previous forum pages.
Moreover the occurring dev teams share their knowledge to each other (only the own members obviously).

Also, for us it looks like he wants to open a public server, otherwise he wouldn't do that with the registry (you don't even need that to play with mates).

ur not greedy? all u guys do is make money off a game you didnt make, splitting the community shouldn't matter if you think you can keep ur players on your server, also the guides you talk about dont matter a lot and most of them are useless and lack what you want in a server if ur still playng this game in 2018

there are dozens of tutorials on epvp and youtube.. you can get EVERYTHING that you need to learn to make your own (beginner/test) server from these tutorials. yes, im serious.
oh and learning sql and everything about the 4s database is even possible without any tutorials it just takes a few days to learn how it works...
the only guides that are missing are source related things but this isnt for beginners anyway.
