No, that was fixed a LONG time ago. Every moonbox you get now has the ID of the 32nd instance in itemtype.dat, there is no client side difference between any moonboxes.

im glad this was brought up i noticed that in the itemdat editor unknown made there was 32 different moonboxes with different serial numbers does this have any effect on whats inside of them because im running a test as of 2 days ago trying to see if the ids have anything to do with the quality of items in the box any info on these serial numbers would be great

p.s. if my test proves anything ill post my results here

I have tried it today, they have fixed it. Now the MoonBoxes always have the same ItemTypeID so you couldn't predict what's in them.

not to contridict you or say ur wrong but im looking at the numbers and yes majority of it is the same yet there is still a few numbers different this may result in a big waste of my time but im still going to try

there has to be some meaning to these change in numbers

Huh you have seen a MoonBox with an ID other than 0x0B00C2? (Or was it 0x0B0286)
I have looked at some MoonBoxes at the market and they all had the same ID.

I've tried naming the moonboxes, all of them is the same... althought there are 27 different moonboxes =/

Curious... besides just item ID.. has anyone ventured so far as to check the packets sent over about the item as status? We know that # of sockets.. weapon composition.. gems.. all of this good stuff is serverside and is sent over in the form of item status attributes with a packet, perhaps there's something similar for moonboxes and other prizes that issue random items upon their opening to see if there is a special id that indicates what might be in the item??

Its all server side, The item ID is only gonna be used to show you the atcual item ( not the contents, only the link between graphics and ID, which basicly means, if sever send item ID xxxxxxx all your client will do is look up the id in the Itemtype.dat and link it with the graphics file (.dds )
