GamezBD & Virtual machines ?

So, i spend the entire day trying to install and make gamerz bd run in a virtual machine

I first tried with VirtualBOX.

I first bypassed, easily, the message "Sorry this application cannot run under a virtual machine"

I ran the game but without 3d acceleration, i was maybe at 1 or 2 FPS in the MAIN MENU, to start / select server / select character

It was unbearable so i went and activate 3d acceleration

Problem once activated, i constantly had this error each time the game launcher after i clicked START at GamezBD launcher : "Failed to identify usable graphics adapters"

I tried a lot of things but none of them worked.

I ended up uninstalling VirtualBox and got my hands on VMWare 14

Now, everything is installed in VMWare BUT, when i open GamezBD launcher and try to click on START to launch the game NOTHING happens, it's like i don't even click anything

I found bypasses for "Sorry this application cannot run under a virtual machine" on VMWare but i don't even get to the point of this error cause the game don't start at all...

Any ideas ?

Can you developp ?

As i said, if i use Virtualbox without 3d acceleration i can access in-game but with 1-2 fps, so, i'm pretty sure something's possible

A custom /modified GamerzBD launcher would do it, if someone would look into it...

well i had not time to test "gamezbd client" much yet but i can give you few tips which i think its similar as when im "playing with malwares" :)

you need treat their launcher as Malware so you need to check guides how guys set up virtual machines like playground for malware monitoring, and 99% of them have some anti-vm protections so they will shutdown when they detect it runs in some kind of virtual machine, same goes with their launcher, it wont start client if it detect any vm strings/names/dlls/reg keys/mac addresses/ low assigned RAM/GPU values/ small HDD size...etc

for example, you can start with:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

download it to your vmware and run it, it need to pass all VM detection with GOOD

most of stuffs are described at that github, if you have something flagged as bad and it's not described there you would need google some vmware(or any VM) hardening guides

Thanks for the reply !

Too much hard work, i didnt expect it to be so stressful.

I ended up deleting all my mmo's today anyway.

It's time for me to move on

Why play in a VM anyway? you can't pass through a GPU to the VM so it will be super slow and unplayable even at lowest settings.

Multi client

Here's a video of someone running some bdo version (retail?) in vmware

idk the specs of his computer but its pretty smooth :
