I think you have to type in the correct account or register a new one. If you're 100% sure you typed in the acc and pw correctly then your char probably got deleted. Just talk to the GM's in that case :P

Redownload the whole client, or easier just try and delete all the conquer registry. it happens rarely.

ive tried both ands still no luck ... anyone know how to get your password saved in the login screen like your account? maybe that will help by not having to click in the box

Your username is saved in your co directory in a file. I forget which one but I know it remembers the username there. I tried to maek it remember pass but it didnt want to. Make sure that file is deleted. It might be in the inis. Not sure tho

ok here's an idea i would try it myself but im too noob at hacking to figure it out

i think that somewhere in the exe file there is a subroutine or something that checks to see if you have entered any data into the boxes. if it finds no values in the boxes it displays a waring box with either value 10013 wrong account or value 10014 wrong password from the strres.ini file.

now to fix this i think that a mod like the jump hack could be applied. by either ignoring this check or deleting it all together would stop these popups from ever appearing.

ok the problem is not in the exe file like i orginally thought, ive downloaded previous patches that contained the exe file and repalced it but the error still occurs ... time to think of a new solution

The only time I seem to be able to get the "wrong account" alert box is when i try to login with an emtpy account text box, either by clicking Enter or pressing return. In your screen shot the Enter box is not lit so the only other way I can surmise you are getting this is by something pressing return. With you saying you wanted a way to save the password in there as well, it's possible you may have been experimenting with some kind of autocomplete application or macro, whcih could very well be responsible. Other than that, I dunno, will keep investigating.

im not pressing enter at all im not even near the enter key when i click the mouse button to type. i never used an autocomplete program i was just wondering if it could be saved in the ini file like the account is. i went and downloaded the co2 alpha program to try and login using that interface. i got the same problem after all of the autopatches occured. i then reinstalled the prog modified the version file so that it would not autopatch and the same error occured. so now i am thinking that the error is somewhere in the core program. but if that were true all users would be experiencing this error not just a select few. i disagree with the post of sniper now that i think about it. there has to be a command line somewhere that calls this popup box. it has to be there or else it would not occur. if someone could find this and then remove it and send me whatever the updated file is I would greatly appreciate it.
