Low fps on a good rig

Hey guys ive had this issue for a long time but i didnt play much, now that i do it annoys me so much. i have a 5820k @4.4ghz and a 980 also OCD and DO runs pretty badly i have a 144hz 24inch monitor and in 2d low options only ships on high i get 25 fps while shooting cubi when i fly around and do nothing its 50-60 and in fights its pretty bad 25 or lower, on the other hand i have a laptop dell xps 15 7700k and a 1050 and the game runs beautifully on it around 40fps shooting cubi and in fights also on both pcs i use the same browser chrome , everything updated and same OS.im desperate as i prefer playing on my desktop. if u have any ideas please share :)

What browser are you using? i would recommend to try firefox

As the last guy suggested try a different browser, chrome consumes a lot of memory

I use chrome i tried edge and opera but the performance seems the same. im just so frustrated that a pc where gta5 on full details runs in the 90~fps and DO just cant on 2d atleast and on my laptop gta is like in 50~fps on full details and DO is much better :D fml

Don't even waste your time with 2d... try 3d it's much more optimised.

Yeah but the game is just so ugly and streamers like killmedium dont have a better pc than me and the game runs beautifully for them..

2d will die. so... you will soon or later have to use 3d anyway why not now?
check for the newest flash version.
does chrome run other stuff while playing darkorbit? (videos n stuff)
do you have the 64bit version of chrome and flash?

i read that somewhere in the darkorbit forum. because they will do only performance updates for the 3d mode.

Everything is 64bit, i have no other open windows in my browser, only other apps itunes steam ts, i recently tried to reinstall the windows, and freshly after reinstallation 2d ran amazingly like butter, when i turned the pc on later in the day in ran like total shit, tried opera and chrome on laptop it still runs sexy good idk im tilted af tbh

Yeah welcome to my life bud. My olddd laptop with an i3-6100 can run 2D at 60 fps no matter what. Even on crazy cubes in 2D its 60 fps. Although that has windows 7 on it. i wonder if unless you have a god cpu, you need to run windows 7 to get good fps in 2d :/ Ive been researching 2D stuff for months btw and im beyond confused by it

Windows 10 should have better performance than windows 7 overall, not sure about browser stuff tho
