I've been playing dota 2 lately and for the most part it takes about 10-20mins just to que for a game and sometimes some players wont even que so have to wait another 10-20mins which is ridiculous, US East/West.

Depends from rank. If u play ranked game u don't have to wait long time :) It's not dead :p
