What are you talking about? if you're talking about creating mods which are client sided wher only you can see, that affects the look, not quality or qualitative value of any equipment, then it's possible without even going into .dll editing, it's something much simpler all you have to do is image swap, aka find the pmg you want to use, replace the pmg you have for that item, and rename the one you want it to look like to the name of the pmg you currently have. guides all over take the 5 seconds to search ^^

I think what he wants is visual mods that other people can see. For example, if you have a bastard sword -> Muramasa mod, he wants it so other people see the Muramasa. Am I right?

If he wants that then it's not possible because the client loads the pmg the server tells it so if he can somehow edit everypersons pack files and data files to show lets say bast to mura pmg, then everyone else would see it as well as be able to use it too. but that's not going to happen

It's possible to have visual mods work on only yourself, but it's impossible because it's so complicated && hard. And the fact nobody's ever done it before doesn't help much, either.
