Master EUW&EUNE OTP Akali Q&A

Hey folks,

I'm a former Master SoloQ Player on EUW and EUNE with like 90% Akaligames. I've been playing akali from Season 2 on and trying to only play her in ranked games. So if I calculate every game from every account that I played on than I get a huge number of games in different elos. I opened this thread so you guys can ask anything about Akali if you love her as much as I love her :) I can help you out with midlane Akali but toplane also. Even if you hate akali feel free to ask some questions about how to handle Akali, especially in lower elo where people get stompt by her easily :D I can help you out with matchups too if you struggle a bit like for example vs an Azir or other ranged midlaners :P

I always start with boots vs midlaners who have skillshots. You can easily dodge their spells and you can run away from them if they chase.

1. Hextech Gunblade => Always 1. Item
2. Zhonias => Always 2. Item
3. Lichbane or Liandry's Torment if you need more hp vs their burst and you can't dodge it
4. GA or Void Staff depends if you're solocarry or enemys have a lot of mr
5. vs these mages I like to pick up Maw of Malmortius

For boots its really situational.. I often check about how much CC they got who is fed. But in general I like to pick up the magic pen boots just for more burst :P

If you struggle before getting zhonias get hexdrinker it can really help you out vs their ap burst. But in general you should be able to dodge syndra ult with your zhonias or general wait out their ult :) Fortunately in Diamond you often have someone who engages so you can wait a bit till they waste all their spells and than go in and show them how balanced akali is :P

But to be honest most of the time you can finish a game with just 3 Items on Akali.. I rarely get full build :)
