Drill Drone Formation

Hi guys,
I already have heart, moth and diamond drone formation, and I am very pleased with them. A few days ago I bought a drill formation but I can not fit it between them. I would be grateful to share your experience of how you use it and in what ships.

Basically you use it all the time for normal map farming, because moth isnt working there as good as in gates,so the 20% bonus dmg comes in handy.

For fights you usually switch to Drill if your Hp are high enough but your shield is at the point where it matches the shield loss you get from the drill,so you dont lose out on shield.

And most of the time when go for an emp/insta and moth isnt an option because the opponent uses solace/aegis or has way to much HP currently anyways,so 20% increased dmg is better.

Bascially you can use it in all ships if you know the right timing, sometimes you will fuck up the switch or stay in drill while changing config and losing like 800k shd,but we all make mistakes sometimes and from time to time it gets less frequently that you fuck up :3

Always use drill :D
And try to learn to play with it.
Thats all :p

I use drill as normal ...
i hit like 225k with lasers only with it :)
When he's almost dead i switch to moth and finish the kill.
If i have to escape i switch to wheel.
and i come back with dome with second config and shoot untill i lost all my shields, then i switch to drill again and bamn :D

Droneformations look like they do allot, but you have to work with everything you got to win.

smartbomb, insta, emp, freeze rockets, mines, techs, ...

There are no big and big questions Xx_BOLTER_xX when you are in the queue for social welfare I do not send you to another queue write here because I expect experienced players to answer me.

Thank yoy guys,
honestly to tell you drill was not a good choice, better to buy a pincer. Diamond is very effective against npc with moth quickly and seamlessly pass portals.

I don't even understand why this stereotype "everything should belong there", as there people talk what ever they want and there's no place for questions in most cases or nobody reads them and if so, there won't be so much different answers as someone changes the topic already.

If someone asks a question that is related to their game and significantly opinions matter, why not opening a thread, because many opinions will matter, the DarkOrbit talk is simple question answer like yes no.

There's short posts, but on threads like this, people can put their opinions together. Why they don't do it on DarkOrbit talk is what I am amazed for and that's why people never asks anything there.

My explanation might be a very confusing, so I try to clear up:

Questions like "What is better to shoot aliens on, 1-5 or 1-7?" is worth for the DO Talk, as these usually can be single yes no answer (= let's say 1-7) and it's over, someone changes the topic already to something else.

When you open a thread like this, "I bought Drill, but don't know how to use it" is asking for more, like teaching and such + the basic explanation and maybe comparisons to other drone formations. Simple 1 answer could be here too, but many people actually says their own opinion as well.

In a nutshell, opening a thread which relates to their game and don't want to trust only for one answer would become as a handy manual, just like this thread as there is few good answers, which we might never see in the DarkOrbit talk and if we see, we're going to see it very rarely.

I haven't personally seen answers that is more than few words long in DO Talk.
