Not to scare you off, but if you install the wrong drivers, by either picking the wrong video card (graphics processor) model, or select the wrong OS (Operating System), this can screw up your display drivers, and they may not be able to communicate with your graphics card, so the monitor won't know it's plugged in.
You can fix this by going into Safe mode by tapping F8 repeatedly on startup, and uninstalling the drivers, and installing the correct drivers.[/color]

If you are experiencing an error that looks anything like this:
Then you're in the right place, if you do not, scroll down and look at the other errors like (3) and (4). First off, if you're getting this error message, it means your computer doesn't meet the requirements to play SF, some of the time this is software based (like if you format your hard drive and delete everything, including software or the root directory, ie c:\ > ijji > .. u_sf (where SF is installed)), but if you're using a very old computer, it just won't work. None of these errors in this thread are bugs that are the fault of Soldier Front's developer, Dragonfly, so don't start flaming Ijji.
You can try the simplest solution first, uninstall all the Ijji games with the add/remove programs tool in start > control panel, then delete the Ijji folder in your Local Disk C (in my computer). Now reinstall SF with a fresh installer and see if you can play.
If that doesn't work, you can try the not so simple solution, and when I say something like video card or drivers in the guide, I'll have this here so you can look back to see what it is
OS = Operating System, like Windows or Macintosh
Video (graphics) card = Draws the pictures you see on your monitor, faster video card can draw faster
Driver = Software that lets Windows communicate with your hardware, like your video card
NVIDIA, ATI, Intel GMA, and S3 = Brands that make video cards and have the drivers on their websites
Motherboard (or circuit board) = Big flat thing in your computer that has all your computer stuff connected to it
If you think your computer is good enough for Soldier Front and there must be something wrong, you may need to download and install the latest drivers for your computers video card. You can do this by visiting your video card manufacturors website, and going into the support / downloads section, selecting your video card model, and then selecting your OS (Operating System).
To determine whether you need to update your display (video card) drivers, you have to go into the Windows Device Manager, located here. Start > Right click My Computer > Select properties > Click on the hardware tab (or Vista simply click Device Manager on the left) > Click Device Manager.
Now click on the + box infront of "other devices" which is lower down on the Device Manager and you should see something like "video controller" or "VGA Compatable" somewhere if your display drivers are not installed. That is your video card. If you had drivers installed, it would be under "display adapters" and it would have its real name.
You can find out what video card model your computer has by following these instructions:

Click start (Windows Key/Button) > Click run (or for Vista, click all programs > accessories > run) > type in DXDIAG > click ok > now while we're here, on the botton of this system tab, it should say DirectX Ver, what does it say? You need it to say 9.0c (XP), or 10 or higher (Vista) > click on the display tab > now your video card is listed where it says "name". It should say something like, ATI, NVIDIA, Intel, or S3.
If nothing is listed under "name", that either means you don't have a physical video card, or your computer doesn't have drivers installed for the video card. Your best option is to either find a manual that you might have (motherboard manual, etc) and find the name of the video card, graphics card, display adapter, or GPU.
If you don't have a manual, or don't know where it is, your only chance now is to either look up the drivers for the computer model on (Dell, HP, Emachines, etc) website. The computer should have a model number on it, if it doesn't, you can go to: Belarc.com and download their program. When it's done downloading, run it and it'll open a file on your computer using your internet browser, so don't link it. It will read your computer for any information about what kind of parts it has, etc. Please post what is under "system model", "main circuit board", and "display".
If it says S3 or VIA in it, your computer is unable to run SF. Your only options are to either buy a new computer, or install an onboard graphics card (desktops only).
[NOTE 4 ATI: If your video card model says Xpress, or is a Radeon HD 3200, 3100, 2100, X1250, or X1200, you will have to look in the Integrated/Motherboard section of the ATI website.]

If the above does not work, you can try this:
Click start (Windows Key/Button) > Click run (or for Vista, click all programs > accessories > run) > type in DXDIAG > click ok > click on the Display tab.
Make sure that your DirectDraw, Direct3D, and AGP Texture acceleration are Enabled. If not, try to test them to see if they work.

If that didn't work, you can try:
Click start (or Windows key) > Control Panel > Appearences and Themes > Display > Settings tab > set your resolution to 1024x, and your color quality to medium (16-bit). Now, whilst in the settings tab > click the "Advanced" button > Monitor tab > Set your screen refresh rate to 60Hz.

Ok, if neither of those worked, some people suggest this, but I don't think it does anything. Please post whether this fixed the issue to verify.
Hold CTRL + ALT + DELETE then go processes and search in there for u_sf.exe, if you see it, right click it and select end process, and click ok.

Click start > control panel > personalize (Vista) > display settings > advanced settings button > click the troubleshoot tab > set the hardware acceleration to full, or click the "change settings" button in Vista.

Sometimes the problem can be fixed by deleting corrupted Ijji related registry keys so the PLauncher can reinstall them. To do this, click start > (search run in Vista) click run > type regedit > click ok / enter.
Expand (click marker to the left side) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Expand Software > Delete the "Dragonfly Game", "HanGame.Com", HanPurple, and "NHN USA" folders by right clicking and selecting delete. Now close regedit and see if Soldierfront works.

If none of the above helps, then your last option is to just "nuke" the problem by formatting the hard drive (reinstalling Windows to how you bought it). Since nobody knows what is causing the error, deleting everything on the computer and making it like new will 100% fix the issue as long as the computer meets the requirements. You can also backup some of your files on DVDs or whatever you have (if you have two computers, you could make a shared folder and copy and paste all your files into that, then cut and paste them onto your other computer's shared folder).

If you are still unable to play the game and you did all of this correctly, and still recieve this error, it is your computer. It is not good enough to run Soldier Front.
