Well I don't know about others but i wouldn't want to play on a server that breaks their own rules! and WTF why does everyone Keep coming to Ghosts to steal players and advertise. Cuz all the players here love the server and tell us the second someone tries this.

Really trying to steal players is not a great way to start off and bribing them with staff spots. Plus the server isn't even open yet.

This is sad. We try as a community to support one another. Yet here we have people that have recieved help most likely from the Owners here on Elitepvpers. Now those same people that took help and advice are trying to steal players from those that helped them get to their server up and running. Not only is it is sad but in my opinion completely unethical.

Its crazy how back stabbing people get when it comes to this. This player has been on every server I have Ran or worked on. So now I have to watch and see if hes going to be one of the Server owners that steals other pserver's work and claim it as their own.

sad fact is everyone of us have had to expirence this one time or another. I agree with huntress that it is rather unethical. What kills me is when you go to an owner and thier response is "I dont control the actions of my staff". how can you not have at least some basic rules for your staff? As for the work stealing. This is a topic that has been discussed numerous times. I know i get pissed off when someone steals all the work i do. For instance if i take 5 hours editing a pet making it look completely differnt then someone turns around and steals it. yeah i am going to get mad. I do wish there was a way for us to actually stop this. Alas far as i know then isnt.

staff should have rules ... our staff have a very strict list of rules ...

The best way would to post proof on here I mean where do most people get their info for pservers by word of mouth so as long as u have proof post it. I mean all of our edited DDS files have a watermark. So if i see them on someone elses client I will post it all over, ever where.

doing that was a massive pain for our server ... but that was the lengths we have had to take sadly ..

Click Here To Register...] has now been removed and now they will just come out with some new link / name but i will find it and post it again! And if they weren't in the wrong why removed the site just proves what we were are saying is true.

if i can read this right does it goes over advertising in game

from 1 side is it normal , on the other side it is irritating

some persones thinks they get players from spamming in game , you see it on the real games to
and it kinda works to , but not for a long time

then over the rules
ofcourse there are rules for every staff member , thats in all games (even if you dont have rules are there some basic rules ^^)
but the problem
are you going check all the chatlogs every day ?? reading a couple of hours per day ? and checking the database on shouts every day to be sure no1 advertise ??
well , before you finded it out or even before it get reported is it already to late

most of the time , players that advertise are players with strange names and they exist for 1 thing , and thats spamming

the only way to protect is is no protection (when you notice it , ban or so ) but they will return back

the other way to protect is is a differend way , just ignore them and more will come , and they will all leave on there own if there are to mutch of them (ofcourse some will stay , but you dont going advertise if you see 100X a differend website for the same game :S )

no1 likes it to steal some1 els his work , they worked hard for it to get it changed

where dit you get it from ?? yes , you stole it to from the original release (that isnt released but leaked or so )

so you cant say that htey steal your work
its like stealing a car
you stole a car but your car get stolen back ?? do you run to the cops and saying ... he stole my stolen car ??

but ofcourse no1 likes it

and see it differend
if more players start to spamm on your game, then it means your doing a good job , els they dont even going spamm if they cant get anything from it

small example
if your server is a exact copy of a other server (that happends sometimes) then they dont going spam on your server , it got to less players or is not populair enouf

but if you get some nice players , then they going spamm because they can get some players from your server
so the good news of it is that your doing a great job , even if they are spamming

Usually when people not related to the staff of a server advertise other servers is to get more people to join it with them. However, your server hasn't even been opened yet. Heck it didn't even have a registration page for the server when I remember checking it. That begs the question, why would anyone besides someone on the staff advertise a server they have never played on or even registered for?

Im not talking about the original stuff im talking of the pserver work. Becuz its different to take work from a Company VS Private server. The Private servers arent here to dick you around and make you pay for everything they want people to have fun and they work hard to edit things for the players to enjoy but then some Dbag comes along and takes the work then claims its as their own In a community that helps others get their info or even helps with fixing a bug. Again your just proving me right you have been on ALL of my servers and know my rules. Also I have the chat logs sent to me by the players you talked too! (and they were rewarded) Plus you of all people should know I don't stand for player stealing or work stealing and that i will go to all length available to make sure people know.

This is great you even have a staff member that has tried to take one of my staff members, her casuals, and advertised another pserver on my server. Plus she got kicked off that server (DarksideEO) for doing all this.

Yuppers i was at school and the page failed to load i hit f5 and it came to the post screen and i re-posted not knowing it would duel post cuz i thought i was still in the edit format my apologizes.

This is the owner and the host of the server that someone says was being advertised by a certain staff memeber and the rules i have is that i will not accept anymore staff that was already chosen before the naming of the server LivingLegends not even if the person who wants to be a staff member is a close friend of one of the staff memebers i am in charge of keeping the server up and making sure that the staff follows the rules and if i hear from any amount of people that the server if being advertised by a staff member then i will relive the staff member of their position but at this point i have the idea that everything was misunderstood and i have a feeling of that because the staff that i have abide by the rules in other servers i have known most of them for a while now and i know they would not advertise for other servers on any other server
