Photoshop Alpha Channel

hello, i been searching for tutorials on google and youtube and i cannot find anything that works. for these tga files after editing the text and some other things, you need to make a alpha channel, how do you do this? i cant figure it out. thanks.

Open your file in Photoshop and make your edits. Go to Channels tab. Click on "New Layer" (marked with arrow)


You now have an Alpha Channel.


Fill it. Multiple ways to do that. For now just pick the selecting tool, select the entire image, right click it and "Fill" Contents with White.


Voilą. That's it. Before saving your image, remember to select the RGB channel.
