I couldn't believe it when they recommended me before to use proxy, but once I did start cSro with proxy, I didn't get a lag spike or a disconnect never, ever.
So let me start with the guide, since I know a lot of guides people make here are inaccurate, this guide will be made dummy-style, almost every single step will have a screen shot, let's start :].
First of all, you need to download this:
Now, install proxifier, copy the crack, and then open it.
Go to options, proxy settings:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Click it, the following box will pop out
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Put the circle mark on the second option 'Process only the following + manually proxified'.
Now you need to do the following;
Click 'Add' down there, and navigate to your cSro installation folder and find sro_client.exe and silkroad.exe
When you do that, it has to look something like this.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Click 'Ok'.
Now go to, Options > Proxy Settings, right click it of course lol.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Now this is the window where you'll have to find a HTTPS proxy on google preferably and test it here.r
Let's try with this site which I use for my proxies.
(*Note: The proxy is recommended to be chinese, but you can as well use thailandish, malaysian or any other Asian proxy, any of countries that are close to China can pass.
Good proxy site to look at always is:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
(*Note: Try proxies with port 3128, they are the most likely working ones ;))
Now let's pick a proxy, for example (some I took):
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
As you can see you have to click test, then mark the HTTPS circle, and enter the IP and port up and click Test.
My check doesn't pass Ping Test because I have a firewall blocking, so it doesn't let it ping, but as long as you get the message:
It means the proxy is working.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Now you have to click OK, and just mark the circle next to the IP and click ok, it should look something like this: (I will exclude the IP of my proxy, because I don't want any more traffic on my proxy :))
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Finally, you are totally ready to use the proxy, now all you need to do is this (Even tho you won't have to do this, you should just start your silkroad and it should go through proxy, I suggest you do it)
To be sure you start silkroad through proxifier, you need to find your Silkroad shortcut, right click it, and click Proxifier.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Voila, the silkroad sill start through proxifier, and you should as well down right in your tray get an icon with blue/green spikes raising and lowering as they indicate the incoming and the outgoing traffic of the proxy.
Have fun ;)
