Should I start playing SWTOR?

I really like MMOS and Starwars, but I dont know if this game is right for me. A couple of my friends play it and they tried to make me download it.

it is one of the best mmo's around and it is in star wars universe.
Well im a star wars fan so i play it and like it. also it has a features many games don't have. also you get top gear faster than in wow or so.

I've been playing it in my free time for the past couple nights and I've now just hit level 10. I've witnessed so many restriction just from leveling up to 10. Some I wouldn't say restrictions, but basically subscribers getting a head start so to say.

I was wondering if it's even worth playing without subscribing to? I don't aspire to be doing PvP. I would like to just level through the game normally and at 'end game' or however it works there, and just do PvE raids, or however it's done there.

I don't really want to be subscribing to a game that is free to play. All in all, I've really enjoyed it so far but I don't want to be wasting my time playing it if I know that I'm just going to be restricted majorly throughout the game and also end-game.

You can play offline single player games for that :)
What's the point of playing an online game till end game and just do pve stuff? PvP is the way to go! Test yourself, test your character, see how well you rank against other players or team and so on.

too late, almost all MMOs nowadays are pay to win

The fact that the game is slowly becoming a ghost town is a reason to actually not play the game, unless you got your friends playing with you.

I'd recommend it to you if some of the following conditions are true to you.
1. You like roleplay- & story games.
2. You do like Star Wars (Stories and questlines were written of original SW comic authors).
3. You like modes were you can play with your friends. You can even play the story with all your friends, in some scenes they'll even be included and interact also. Also dungeons, side questlines, PVP etc.

Otherwise fingers off of the game.

I kinda enjoyed it, if you want my opinion yes you should start playing it but don't expect the game to be like cinematic trailers on youtube :heh:

Like that person said before, only if you're into SWTOR's story (which does tie somewhat into KOTOR) should you even consider diving into that game.

problem with pvp is SWOTR its based on gear.if yours is better than mine im going down
