I made this topic as a tutorial for [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] thread.

NOTE: This is untested, because I cant host my server, because my mssql evaluation period is over, so...
MAKE BACKUP FILES for everything you do, in case it doesn't work!

I searched for "eff_upgrade_46"
As I thought, I found more then that file only.

And, in the file "effectdata.02.txt" I found this...

The files are taken from DK-Ultra just before the server died (v.7.2)
(No worries, they let everyone leech their files in their disclaimer)

Remember how in DK-Ultra, +12 stuff were glowing like +9 when you wear them, but like +1 in the inventory? Well, in their files I see they point
"ms_upgrade_1012" ,
"ms_upgrade_U_1012" and
"ms_upgrade_W_1012"
to the textures for +1~+3 and +7~+9... I think if you recolor the texture, save it on a different name, and point to them in effectdata.02.txt on 1012 entries, The glow color should change to the one you recolored.

Also, in the other files (effectdata.com.txt and effectdata.txt), there are no entries for 1012, but I would recommend putting 1012 entries there too, like in effectdata.02.txt.

Original files of DK-Ultra v.7.2 included (Not changed).

I can't test it, but all you can, so GIVE FEEDBACK and if it works, Ill make a full tutorial on it, with pre-made files included.
Please give feedback (Post results).

After playing whit this for a while now i have manged to figure out a few things.
I know there are a total of 6 files that have to be changed. Effectdata,effectdata.com,effectdata02,effectscene ,effectscene.com and effectscene02. Now i have also seen that the 3 effectscene mainly affect the item in inventory and the pulse at which it glows. For the effectdatas (using Bigshows method and adding the _90 with new texture) i found that the
ms_upgrade_W_79 or any of the _w_ refer to the weapons. Just letting you know what some of my results were.

Close but no cigar.

Your post is about the end effect, but first the id should be assigned to the +10 - +12 items trough modeleffect.csv and armor/weapon csv's.

How?

I'm still trying to find the correct columns, so you're free to experiment.

blindguard, i think i found the rows

look for the rows that have eff_cate == 7, one may say 'soket effect' next to it
i could assume that extra entries are required as specified in effectscene.02

im going to mess around with it and see if i can get it to show anything

there is also a file called effectmodel.txt u may wanna take a look at to see if it points to levelup of the item or levelup of the character
