Hey!! :) I'm sorry if this has been posted, but Iv'e looked and seen no solid response
Now, you've tried hitting start NFS world and get errors? correct?
Look no further! I shall help you.
First; find your way to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Download: Beta v1.8 Release 2 That is the one I use and has worked 100%
Next, download that file, and on your desktop, create a new folder called "NFS Offline 1.8" or something along those lines.
Next: download this file, [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
This is every file for the original NFSW, and is needed to make stuff run proper.
Always virus scan your items.
Once you downloaded those files, extract them to C://ProgramData>Electronic Arts>Need For Speed World> Data
( the files outside of the data folder in WinRar need to be extracted, just to be safe. :P )
You need to also make those folders.
DO NOT EXTRACT ALL AT ONCE
I did this and I had to restart my PC because winrar crashed, extract all the folders one by one to prevent any mistakes.
Once you have done this, now go to OfflineServer, run as admin, and there you go, hopefully it does work now. :)
Note: if you STILL have issues, reply to this thread and I'll seek further into helping you.
Common Known 1.8 Bugs:
- Clicking on Player Profile will crash game
-You can't purchase card packs
-Vinyls are a bit wonky
-High settings (depending on system) crashes game on boot up
If you get an Exception error after this
-Go to firewall, and disable all of it, including your Anti-virus.
-Right click "Start: NFS World"
that should have deleted settings.ini
You're now all set.
