editing server

Hi, been reading up about this. i have a server i'm testing on. but how do you actually edit this game? i'm trying to learn but 90% here is German.

anyone that can give me a heads up on how to edit broken quests. or broken pet's and stuff like that? thanks alot..

Depends on what you want to change. Some parts can be done via editing the database. Sometimes you need to know how to program C++ to edit your server files. And there's also the client who can be edited which requires tons of other skills (e.g. Lua knowledge for modifying the interface code).
Depending on the quests and pet things you want to fix, you usually need both database and programming knowledge.

There isn't a way to create a tool to fix all kinds of bugs. There are several tools out there which will help you creating new items and such things though.

can you point them out or where to start looking? i'm comming from another game where all game hade tools to fix everything. this is a new challenge for me i like to take a look at :-) but first i need to know what you actually have here :-)
