Yes I am actively attempting to develop my own server again. Don't expect progress to be particularly fast though.

Features to include:

> Most comprehensive class balance seen so far, reworked from scratch
> New and unique forgeless system
> New stat system on gear
> Fully customised exp rate
> A variety of usable gear so not everyone will look the same at endgame
> New endgame goals to work towards
> No crafting
> Ronelia and Kallistia but no upper/lower or Gratt Waterway
> New mob levels and densities for improved grinding/farming
> Revamped TSB with new rewards

All wrapped up in the familiar Rohan you know and love. It'll feel like a completely fresh game but not so different that it doesn't feel like you're playing Rohan any more.

Don't ask when it'll be ready. I have a girlfriend who is 30 weeks pregnant so I'm going to be a father in 10 weeks time. I also have a full-time job Monday to Friday and I'm also not very fast at editing anyway. There are a lot of things I'll be needing pro dev help for as well so I'll have to wait for their help. Don't expect any sort of release this year and maybe not even next year!

About time. :p

Try keep it low as people will push you to finish and just over-complain as it always happens. It's a good thing you chose to announce just don't give too many spoilers xd.
Anyways looking forward to it wish you all the good with this project

Not sure you know this but ish is one of those persons that first he checks every single edit he makes and by every single edit hes mostly like me 1 line edit check to see if it works or bugs out 1 mob drop edit kill the mob 100 times to check if it is the right drop.

In all seriousness I don't think there will be another server as populated as Xor Rohan. It was only that populated because it was the only relevant server to play on, and today most people that are playing private servers are dedicated to a specific one already up.

I really do wish for mass pvp-orgies like back then, but it won't happen.

I know, the population on Xor was crazy. Those days are long gone unfortunately. The problem with most servers these days is that there's nothing that will grab player's interests and/or make them want to switch servers. If I can release one, that's what I aim to try and do. Of course that's assuming anyone is still interested in the game in 2024.

I'm wondering what is driving you to get into this 3-ring circus when Rohan as a game is all but dead. Boredom? Hopefully you have some trustworthy folks with similar ideas working with you. Those are kinda hard to find these days.

It's because I haven't finished what I wanted to do with the game and it drives my OCD crazy. Also when I see cookie cutter servers released, one after another after another, without so much as a sliver of innovation, that drives me crazy too.

And why now when I have less potential spare time than I've ever had? Boredom like you said. I've gotten bored with gaming in general, not even Mass Effect: Andromeda held my attention for more than a couple hours before I haven't touched it again. Rohan has always had a magical hold on my attention and it shows no sign of letting go..
