[Guide] How to Mod

Current mod status: Broken

Currently, most mods are not working, becuase of a Hackshield update that was sent out recently. If you are just starting to mod now, you're unluckly :P

Nevertheless, this guide will get you started on modding!

Step one: First, we need something called Tiara. This pack makes it easy to introduce newbies into the world of modding. So, click [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and the download will begin.

Step two: Now, we install Tiara. This is easy, just go to the file you downloaded and run it. (Press "Next" and "I agree" and everything xD)

Step three: Play Mabinogi. Notice the new font and things. There are alot of small changes that will make the game lag alot less. Most of the more hackish mods have been patched, so if that was your intention, you could probably wait a few weeks and hope someone can trick hackshield enough to do them again.

This crappy "guide" really isnt worth being pinned.

Disagree. This is a good starting point. Now Kev if you could write a comprehensive/exhaustative page explaining how to edit different things using tiara mod. Like making your own custom maps and such for example, or changing sliced meat summon mod to Alby Coins (stacks in 100's). Also any reference tools used such as Olly Auto IT, or IDA (with links on how to use olly, Auto IT, IDA). How to search for strings to edit etc etc etc. Still thanks for posting this as a good start.

Why do people keep talking about itemdb.xml, now pretty much all of the mods using itemdb swapping is patched.

Yes, but this "starting point" isnt worth being pinned. If he added at least some of the stuff your talking about, then it would be worth it.

What the crap is wrong with you? Since your arrival, you've done nothing but flame other members and make pointless comments. This may be acceptable if you were actually a contributing member, but you've done nothing. It was pinned. It really doesn't matter if you think it shouldn't. It will help new members get an easy starting point. If you can do better, by all means, go ahead. I will remove this and pin yours.

#Edit: Also, quit pming me about things you deem punishable, you aren't the mod. Just use the report button (yes, I've seen your multiple reports), and I will take action if I see fit. I have read the mod rules, and you haven't obviously. (You couldn't have, its in the hidden mod section, which you can't see.)

Flame? Sorry, I didnt flame at all. All I did was remind people of the rules.
This place has become a second Lemu, only with more spam/junk and with less releases.

I find it sad that some people appear blind to this and dont realize that its going downhill with Mabi modding. Lemu died, epvp is being taken over by spam, flame, and junk, and Mabimods is becoming stricter every day, mostly because of Ferghfag posting trojans and Nexon cracking down on mods. The only site that is still unaffected is MU, but its just a matter of time until that site dies too, looking at their admins activity.

Im just trying to at least keep this board clean of the dark seed of spam and stupidity that can be found on just about every Mabi-related site and that was part of lemus downfall. Cracking down on spam, useless comments, and junk is the only way we can survive. Although, of course, we could just go along with it and end up like lemu or the officials.

Your right, Im not the Mod, but I, as User of this site, do still have the right to report content that appears inappropiate to me. No matter how big your e-penis feels because of your green name and your shiny badge, you cant change the rules, and you cant change my rights.

Also, I may not have read the moderator rules, but Ive read the site rules. And theres a lot in this subsection that should have been changed a long time ago.

The Guide is proved useful for the Average-newb/noob. Since I have barely have began to mod, Im already creating my own, But most of the time most "Noobs" (Not Newbs) Don't even care about Pinned post and go ahead as it is only one flaw...

The Lack of Information is at a minimum for this since all you have to do is start and poof you're done. You don't have to waste hours unlike The new v55+ MabiMock's Mod (It is called MabiMocks) Just trying to create folders and search about,


Tiara is a great Modifcation as alot of time has been put into it unlike Spr33's Which was a miniature, Tyne's Custom of the Modification made it worth it to download. Since it just adds on quickly. and you can even edit it in the bottom by right clicking...

And @wullpower, Your facing a Moderater and half the time you'll be warned or even banned after annoying Kev enough, Its best to create better or at least keep a comment with in a Nice Nature. As yours seems like a half-assed attempt to flame.

And best to keep the Branchs of 4chan out of it like e-penis and Interpoints or w/e that is.

Since 4chan is the home of trolls and don't even get me started about 4chan either as the Pro-community will be on my side. And so will many Moderaters I bet.

I think the UN won't give much care unless Alaster trys to recreate the soviet union. Since If you haven't heard Ниф Is trying to began creating some weird ass Missile that will probably blow up all of East Coast or something.
