Blacklisting repeat offenders

Ok I'm coming here as I've just spent a lot of time helping a project which went down the toilet.

Can we not think of a way to blacklist repeat offenders who constantly create shit servers, take money, close server, then re-open under a different name? I know that they'll recreate it with another name, database and epvp username of course, but as soon as we find indisputable evidence of ownership - close their thread? Or maybe even create a list of blacklisted owners in PSRO Advertisement and sticky it. Just an idea, because I'm bored of joining a server, getting my hopes up, then it turns out the guy is just as experienced as a fly on shit.

This has been suggested many times, yet no one took care of it.
Guess no one cares without being directly involved into it and being impacted by losing any money.

Let's see how far this thread gets.

I know elitepvpers aren't obliged to get involved in private-server incidents or cases, but I feel like they should when it involves their server being advertised here, especially if they're only advertising here to make money off of epvp users and ultimately, end up scamming them and closing the server.

Perhaps we can help ourselves in this matter.
Here's a quick suggestion: Let's write a script that filters the thread list at the advertising section. We can choose some active members to maintain a list that shows to whoever has the script installed.

You will have to know about the script and install it tho. (Downside)
So you will have to think of a way to get everyone to use it.

That's kinda impossible, The user has the free choice to pick any project that meets his own requirements and he's not obligated to donate on any of them. It's a free forum and everyone is free to advertise here as long as they follow our rules @[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Personal opinion: If the said project seems messy at the beginning then just pick another one, there's always a better option whether or not after all it's a private server and it will get closed sooner or later just the question is when !

Moving forward by a limited option ...great idea ;)

More servers =/= more options. There are servers so poorly made that you just won't play on them no matter what, so all those do is waste your time really.

What's your suggestion about the ''poorly made ones'' ?

Just don't join private servers developed by Middle Easterners and you're golden.

Another suggestion stop allowing servers that are in BETA stage to open a thread. Why should we allow people to open their servers when their official opening date isn't for another 7-14 days? The standards should be set high and they should already have their bugs fixed without needing a beta if they're really as professional as they say they are.

Not going to bother suggesting anything. As long as you believe that every user should have equal rights in the advertising section, things can't change.

Indeed they are :)
