I am assuming if you drag and drop unhashed files onto it then it will hash them.
If you drag and drop hashed files on to it it will unhash them.
If a file does not have (ascii) in the file name but you want it hashed with (ascii) then you check that box and it will make db_item.rdb into db_item(ascii).rdb and hash it for you.

You should look at getting Grimoire it is a lot more advanced client editor and it can do all of this hashing also.
