[Idea] Private server via VirtualBox

Hello,

I want to set up my private server on a virtual computer with VirtualBox.
Ofcourse Windows will not be activated since I don't have another key for the virtual computer.

I've heard in a video that I can't use hamachi-IP when Windows is not activated.
Do I need to buy a key to get the hamachi-IP working?

Does anyone here have his server on a virtual computer?

Do I need to do other things different because of the virtual computer while setting the server up?

never tried running the files on a VM but if you can run them on a VM you're good to go

and i don't think you need a windows key to run hamachi. but in case you need one just look for hamachi alternatives :3

there are no other tips ...

u use windows and u keep the server on your PC for learning
or u buy a VPS

Would it work on a VirtualBox or do I have to do some things different because of the VM?
I'm not keeping the server on my PC, I want to keep it on a virtual PC inside my PC (PC-ception).

SRO server files are working well in VM, you need only windows vm and correctly setup network.
