[REQUEST]/ban command for 5165

01/07/2010 01:34 Chaumaster#1
Could someone please give me a /ban command that works for a 5165 server? I can't get rid of these damn bug abusers. And does it just ban the char or IP ban? I'd prefer IP. Please help, Thanks.

I'd suggest just looking at ban systems for other sources and convert them. It should be simple enough. Just make a text file or database and have the server read/write to it and if the ip of a connecting client is that of one in the database/list then close their connection.

I remember there was one posted a long time ago for 5017 lotf and it should be structured very similar so that may be a good place to check.

As long as it's not in the release section it's not a big deal. It's not that likely that someone is going to write it for him (especially with one having already been released lol). The steps behind it + a push in the right direction is never a bad thing :P

Is really simply =).
You can make this with status account.
Just change the status to "ban" and go to teleport.cs and type this...
Code:
if (GC.AuthInfo.Status == "ban")
                {
                    GC.Disconnect();
                    return;
                }
And i think u can make a command for change the status.
Later maybe i make >.<

Or possibly, since this is a LOTF Source he can take a look at this, [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and convert it for 5165. So instead of just banning the account, he can ban the ip.

That's an actual command to ban for 5017. Won't be hard to convert it for 5165.
