Guild Wars 1 vs Guild Wars 2

What are your opinions of both games?

Me:
I prefer Guild Wars 1 WAY more than Guild Wars 2. Having henchmen was cool because questing felt less lonely. Ritualists were pretty badass as well, but I guess they were technically replaced with something else. I feel that the quests in GW2 involves doing so much repetitive work and isn't exciting at all. The fact that you have to get up to like what, lv10? just to begin your actual storyline is kind of stupid.

I also prefer GW1 more.

Nothing tops the success in HA and GvG. Had alot fun with the PvE as wel.

For my oppinion is GW2 more atractive, cuz you have a lot more stuff to do.

I got into GuildWars and it all seemed fun. There was a sort of comradery between most players in GuildWars. When GuildWars 2 was announced, lots of my friends initially continued to play it like me. And I think the new content in GuildWars 2 is constant and great! As to me, I think GuildWars 2 has more fun than GuildWars. I really enjoyed what came with Dragon Bash. What these makes me addicted in the game. So I regard GuildWars 2 as my favorite MMORPG Games and I really hope it can be the Best Expansion game in MMOsite’s gameprize event: [Only registered and activated users can see links. HA / GvG = best

gw1 most competitive mmorpg ever

IMO GW1 is way better than GW2 is.

First things first; GW1 is way more balanced in PvP because it was released as a PvP game, there was little to no PvE Content in Prohpecies all the PvE content was added later with Sorrow's Furnace, Factions, Nightfall and EotN.
Moreover GW1 feels way quicker to me, you can kill PvP enemys in less than 1sec with a good spike, which also means you need to react and think about possible situations before they actually occour.

And my biggest reason why I prefer GW1 about GW2 is the fact that you can arrange multiple playstyles in your teamcombination there is no "best build" you can play Hex-combs, Turtle-combs, DMG-combs, Balanced-combs etc. You might argue that you can also do this in GW2, that might be true, but it's far away from GW1 mechanics..

So to me GW2 is way more forgiving and less intressting to play from a game mechanical point of view, there is more PvE stuff to do, that's true - but I would allways go for a better game mechanic than for a lot of "grinding" thats what GW2 is all about IMO.

17.000 hrs of GW1 - less than 1000 on GW2.
